| Happy December and Merry Christmas Beloved Friends!!! - Monday, December 14, 2009
Are you already off to a fast start, feeling like you’re drinking from a fire hydrant? Well, that is usually how December starts for us, but we are thankful to be drinking from a saucer because our cup overflows. Glory to Jesus.
I want to encourage your heart with this one thought. “Practice Christianity!” Now, meditate on that! As you sit with the Lord, day after day, and He tells you incredible things and fills you with His Spirit, are you (and I) walking in what He has spoken? Are we sharing it with others? Are WE teaching our children and grandchildren or allowing someone else to do it? This HOLY DAY SEASON and beyond, I want to encourage you to PRACTICE CHRISTIANITY!!! Keep on being filled with God’s Spirit through Bible study, prayer and personal worship, then share, share, share.
I think about and I watch ones from a different faith than ours, practice their faith and teach it to their children. I mean they drill it in, and those little ones are as adamant as their parents. Leaving that faith would mean leaving the family and a family inheritance! Yet many times, we Christians leave the teaching of our faith to Christian schools or Sunday school classes.
Christianity is BEAUTIFUL because it is not a ritual at all. It is LIFE in the Spirit! Yes, there are structured times of prayer, Bible study and corporate worship, but all day long we are being led by the Spirit to pray, to rejoice, to encourage and be encouraged. We are empowered by our God to do and be everything He created us for.
Think it through and really PRACTICE CHRISTIANITY – practice your faith this Christmas season and for the rest of your life. See what a difference FAITH makes.

Saturday, August 29th is the day that is set aside to learn how to study and understand the Bible for ourselves! The cost is only $10 for high school and full-time college students, and only $25 for the rest of us!

At IN Worship, the foundation of everything we do, is Inductive Bible Study. We want you to know how to study God’s word for myself, and teach others to do the same. Then we want you to walk in the light of the truth! If you have never learned how to study the Bible for yourself, this event is for you!
The training will be held at Christ United Methodist Church upstairs in the Christ Center. If you enter through the front, you can take the stairs or the elevator to the second floor and you are there! Bring writing utensils, a pad for note taking, and some means of purchasing materials in the bookstore, for further study. Bibles and scriptural passages will be given to you.

I want to encourage you to join us this weekend for YOUNG Women In Worship. It will be a fabulous time of Bible Study, Personal Growth, New Friends and GIRLFRIEND time!!! Can you tell I'm excited!

• INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDIES is a two-session track in which each young woman will participate. Inductive Bible study skills will be taught as the girls take a look at what the Bible says about Spiritual Gifts!
• PHILOSOPHY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF MINISTRY offers foundations of ministry and important aspects of being a leader in ministry. Areas covered will include leadership, personal character and integrity. The first session includes the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory to help women understand who God created them to be and to better understand those with whom they will be ministering and working. Sessions two through four will incorporate leadership principles, style and diversity as a leader.
• ARTIST DEVELOPMENT is designed to equip young women in the areas of songwriting, publishing and platform performance. Session one is a biblical overview of the heart of the artist. Session two focuses on songwriting and publishing. Sessions three and four are exciting sessions on platform performance.
• MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM is a most exciting track that will give a powerful biblical overview of reaching today’s world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. YOUNG WOMEN will know exactly what the gospel is and why it is such good news! They will also study the messages and methods of Jesus and the Apostle Paul. YOUNG WOMEN will see very clearly that missions and evangelism is more than a journey to a foreign country, but missions and evangelism is a way of life!

My heart rejoices over how God, by His Spirit (Zech. 4:6) is drawing young women, ages 16-25, to the Young Women IN Worship conference this July 27-28!
Many of you have indicated that you would like to be a part but were not sure if you could make the financial commitment. I have GOOD NEWS for you. The ministry has been gifted with scholarships for each girl who needs one! That’s right, if you need a scholarship for Young Women IN Worship, we need to hear from you this week! God answers prayer!
You will need to cover the non-refundable registration fee of $75, and the ministry will cover the remainder. We need your registration fee in our office no later than July 15, 2009 so that we process your application and are ready for you on the afternoon of the 26th when you arrive. Here is the link to the registration form.
Once we have received your registration, we will send to you a package of information with lots more details about the conference. You will need to read through the package thoroughly so that you are properly prepared for the event. Example - The package will include a test on spiritual gifts, and you will want to have this completed BEFORE coming to Young Women IN Worship. As a matter of fact, you won’t need to bring much at all, so make sure we get you registered in time so that you know what to bring and what not to bring.

We’re really excited about the fabulous new YOUNG WOMEN IN WORSHIP INTENSIVE!
“Young Women In Worship Summer Intensive is designed to encourage, equip, empower, and engage in ministry, YOUNG WOMEN, ages 16 to 25. These three days of intensive Bible study and equipping workshops will enable YOUNG WOMEN to move into ministry with confidence and commanding skills as they serve to Unite People IN Worship!” Details are on the events tab of our website. We have broadened the age range to reach young women ages 16-25! There is special tracking for the 16 and 17 year olds. These young women will be in 2 sessions of Inductive Bible study and one session of each track being offered, and one elective. Young women ages 18-25 will choose her track of study, and will enjoy 3 session on her selected track, and one elective if she chooses to do so.
Would you consider helping us reach out to these young women who desire deep, intense, equipping to serve the Lord Jesus Christ? | Looking Ahead - Monday, May 18, 2009Young Women IN Worship
July 26 – 28, 2009
You are on my heart and in my mind today. I pray that all is well with you and that you are sensing the grace of God’s presence in your life. This morning I read in the book of Ruth, Boaz says to his workers, “May the Lord be with you!” And they respond back, “May the Lord be with you!” And that is my prayer for you: In all that you do and all that you are, may the Lord, the Absolute Ruler of all things, be with you!
Recently I was asked what I thought was the greatest need in all the world. After pondering over it for some time, I would have to say that I believe the greatest need in the world today is the need to know the One True and Living God, Jehovah. Hosea 4:6 tells us that God’s people are perishing because of a lack of knowledge. One translation says that we, the people of God, are casting off restraints because of a lack of knowledge.
If the people of God are responding in life like this, what can we expect from those who do not know Christ? If we are reacting to circumstances and not responding to truth, what kind of example are we setting for others? Daniel 11:32b says that the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits. We will be strong and take action. We will not sit passively and watch the world around us be destroyed; but we will believe the word of God, live by faith, and MAKE DISCIPLES.
God says that He has sent his word to heal us and to deliver us. (Ps. 107:20) This is our passion!
I have been around hundreds if not thousands of people who have problem after problem, ailment after ailment, and seem to not be able to grab hold of the hope that is available in Jesus Christ. We want to help.
Richard and I are grateful to be living in Mobile again, and provide the ministries of IN Worship, where we are committed to uniting people in worship! Our weekly Bible study on Tuesdays at 9am – 11am and 6pm to10pm, Brookside Community Center is going very well. We are finishing an incredible study on the book of Acts, and will begin the Summer Bible Study very soon. If your summer schedule frees you up a bit to be a part of a study where you just come and let us do the work, then come on and join us on Tuesdays.
We’re really excited about the fabulous new YOUNG WOMEN IN WORSHIP INTENSIVE! YWIW is designed to do two things: to enhance the college experience of young women who are preparing for ministry, and to equip for ministry, the young woman who does not have college in her agenda, but would like the CORE of structured learning and training for ministry. The Intensive is structured somewhat like a college degree where each young woman can choose the track of study that she would like to be instructed in. Details are on the events tab of our website. Would you consider helping us reach out to these young women who desire deep, intense, equipping to serve the Lord Jesus Christ? We are happy to send you several YOUNG WOMEN IN WORSHIP brochures, so that you can share them with the departments and Sunday school classes of young women in your church, just email us your contact information to info@inworship.org. Also, would you join our pastor, Brother Fred Wolfe, and other churches, businesses, and families in sponsoring one or more girls at YWIW this summer?
We have broadened the age range to reach young women ages 16-25! There is special tracking for the 16 and 17 year olds. These young women will be in 2 sessions of Inductive Bible study and one session of each track being offered, and one elective. Young women ages 18-25 will choose her track of study, and will enjoy 3 session on her selected track, and one elective if she chooses to do so.
Looking ahead, on January 22-23, 2010, WOMEN IN WORSHIP is back in Mobile! WIW is an annual Bible teaching worship event, designed to catapult women into another year of Bible study, and true worship! My guests this year are Kay Arthur and Gloria Gaither. There will be a Friday morning breakfast with Kay Arthur, and Friday afternoon High Tea with Gloria Gaither. Then beginning Friday night, along with Kay, Gloria, and the YOUNG WOMEN IN WORSHIP PRAISE TEAM, it is my pleasure to once again present, WOMEN IN WORSHIP.

| YOUNG Women In Worship-Registration is now open! - Monday, May 04, 2009Beloved Friends, We are excited about hosting our first annual YOUNG Women IN Worship, Intensive July 26-28, 2009. Young Women In Worship Summer Intensive is designed to encourage, equip, empower, and engage in ministry, YOUNG WOMEN, ages 18 to 25, who are preparing for full or part-time ministry. These three days of intensive Bible study and equipping workshops will enable YOUNG WOMEN to move into ministry with confidence and commanding skills as they serve to Unite People IN Worship! Inductive Bible study skills will be taught as the girls take a look at what the Bible says about Spiritual Gifts! • PHILOSOPHY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF MINISTRY offers foundations of ministry and important aspects of being a leader in ministry. Areas covered will include leadership, personal character and integrity. The first session includes the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory to help women understand who God created them to be and to better understand those with whom they will be ministering and working. Sessions two through four will incorporate leadership principles, style and diversity as a leader. • ARTIST DEVELOPMENT is designed to equip young women in the areas of songwriting, publishing and platform performance. Session one is a biblical overview of the heart of the artist. Session two focuses on songwriting and publishing. Sessions three and four are exciting sessions on platform performance. • MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM is a most exciting track that will give a powerful biblical overview of reaching today’s world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. YOUNG WOMEN will know exactly what the gospel is and why it is such good news! They will also study the messages and methods of Jesus and the Apostle Paul. YOUNG WOMEN will see very clearly that missions and evangelism is more than a journey to a foreign country, but missions and evangelism is a way of life! | Women IN Worship ‘09 is HIS-STORY!!! - Monday, March 09, 2009And what a “story” of “His” we all can tell. God is FAITHFUL! He answered our prayers in more ways than we could ever say! A big THANK YOU to all of you who were with us physically, and to all who prayed for us from afar! The glory of the Lord was revealed, and that is our focus and purpose. Now I pray that you and I would be true “disciples”, learners of Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives. If you did not have a chance to get signed up for a Bible study, call our office and let us help you find one near you. 251-300-8400. A true disciple is also a disciple-maker!
One quick story. A lady who was at the conference, who was not feeling well at all, who could hardly move, much less stand for any length of time, said that, when a friend asked her to come close and just see the Ark of the Covenant revealed, she said that there was strength in her body to stand for hours. She said, “I have never felt the GLORY of God like I did in that moment.”
We say, “to God be the glory!”.
Now before you get bent out of shape, let me quickly say that we worship JESUS and not a replica. It was her faith in Jesus ALONE that caused her to experience the one true living God. AMEN!
I rejoice in that you allowed the Holy Spirit to draw you to Jesus and faith in Him, that you might RESPOND TO TRUTH AND NOT REACT TO CIRCUMSTANCES – FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!
